Welcome!
I am an educator, writer, artist, and activist driven by a passion for education, music, and cultural engagement. My journey with the Asian University for Women (AUW) began in 2023, though my foundation in this field was built years prior. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in English Language, Literature, Applied Linguistics, and ELT, a Master’s in ELT from Jahangirnagar University, and a second Master’s in Educational Leadership and School Improvement from BRAC University. My approach to teaching is deeply holistic—I strive to integrate language studies, pedagogical innovation, and cultural research with my own artistic practice to create a truly comprehensive learning experience for my students.
Throughout my professional career, I have remained committed to advancing women’s education and supporting underprivileged communities. I have had the privilege of collaborating with both government and international institutions to integrate academic frameworks, such as the Cambridge and liberal arts curricula, into diverse multicultural settings. As an alumnus of Teach For Bangladesh and Teach For All, I am honored to have participated in several internationally recognized programs, including the 2019 World’s Largest Lesson & Empatico Fellowship through UNESCO and UNICEF, and the Global Girls’ Education Fellowship by Teach For All.
Currently, I serve the AUW community by teaching two courses and supervising another two: Study Skills and the Undergraduate Preparation Seminar. My mission is rooted in the belief that we must educate and empower young leaders through student-centered and differentiated learning. My goal is to equip my students with the tools to address complex social, economic, and political challenges while fostering a spirit of intercultural understanding and sustainable development.
Beyond the classroom, my life is deeply rooted in music. I am a lifelong Hindustani classical musician and an independent artist. Having been trained in Indian classical music from an early age, I am proud to be a certified Nazrul Sangeet Artist and Teacher Trainer from the Nazrul Institute in Dhaka. I have released several original singles that seek to blend modern artistic creativity with the vital work of cultural preservation. Through this dual commitment to both education and the arts, I hope to inspire personal and academic growth in my students and the broader community, promoting a world built on creativity, innovation, and mutual understanding.
